I have so many fond memories of Nana. My favourites by far were the many sleepovers my cousins and I had together at Nana and Pa’s house. She always made the bed for us, turning on the electric blanket just before we got in so we had a warm bed to get into and taking us out for ice cream and to the beach down the road. We would go for walks, playing in the leaves or collecting golf balls at the golf course. She would cook us pancakes for breakfast and make sure we all had sun screen on before we went into the pool. She would always tell Pa to turn off the scary pool vacuum monster for me because I thought it would suck me up when I was swimming. Whenever you walked into her home, she would have her hallway wall covered in photos of all of her grandchildren. Even at the age of 25, she would point up to a photo of you from when you were 18 months old and tell you that you had the most beautiful blue eyes and beautiful smile, and that it was her favourite photo of you. Nana always made you feel loved and special. I will miss her terribly.
